Disasters - are defined as "natural or man-made events that negatively influence life, property, livelihood, or industry, frequently leading to long-term changes to human communities, ecosystems, and environment

Hazard - is any source that could potentially cause injury, damage, or unfavorable health impacts to someone or something is a hazard.

A hazard is essentially the possibility of harm or a negative outcome (for example, to people as health effects, to organizations as property or equipment losses, or to the environment).

Risk - is the chance that something will occur that will have a negative outcome. The possibility of the undesirable event is reflected in the amount of risk. The unfavorable event's prospective effects.

Disaster Risk -  is described as "the potential loss of life, injury, or destroyed or damaged assets which could occur to a system, society, or a community in a specific period of time, determined probabilistically as a function of hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and capacity,". Technically, it is described by combining the terms "danger," "exposure," and "vulnerability."
